Foodie Training
Foodies are Community members trained and supported by the health service to implement Community Foodie programs and activities in their region. A Foodie may be a volunteer, student or professional working in a Foodie capacity in an organisation.
To become a Foodie, you need to undertake 24 hours of training – generally one four hour session each week, for six weeks. The training is free of charge and delivered by program workers.

The Foodie Job Description:
- To lead the community through example, by modelling healthy eating and a willingness to learn and develop your skills and understanding
- To work with the community and the program workers to develop quality programs that meet the needs of the community
- To deliver simple, easy to understand and practical skills and understandings about healthy eating at a community level
